Choose the kind of week you want.

The country matters less than the rhythm. Pick how you want the days to feel and we will point you at the water that does it best.

Anchor by lunchtime, swim off the stern, eat wherever the dinghy reaches. Two or three hours of sailing a day, no more.

Ionian·Turkey·Montenegro

A new harbour almost every evening. Short passages, long lunches, and a different town to walk into after showers.

Dalmatia·Cyclades·Balearics

Ports with something behind them — a Venetian old town, a market at seven, a taverna the skipper has used for a decade.

Aeolian·Turquoise Coast·Dalmatia

Routes that end where things are still open. Hvar, Ibiza town, Mykonos — moor early, because everyone else has the same idea.

Croatia·Balearics·Cyclades

Sheltered water, passages that fit between naps, and somewhere to get off the boat every single day.

Ionian·Kornati·Bay of Kotor

Real sailing days. Reefed main, a proper watch system and the satisfaction of arriving somewhere you had to work for.

One country, three sailing areas

Greece is not one sailing destination.

Book a week in the Ionian and a week in the Cyclades and you will come home with two completely different holidays. This is how we split it.

All 214 Greek departures

Ionian Islands

Green hills, sheltered channels and a breeze that shows up after lunch and goes home for dinner. The passages are short enough that nobody asks how much longer.

Sailing areas

Closer in: the water you actually sail.

Countries are how you search. Sailing areas are how a week actually works — a cluster of islands and harbours within comfortable reach of each other.

When to go

Sail the Mediterranean by season.

The same bay is a different holiday in May and in August. Here is roughly how the season moves, and where it tends to be at its best.

01 — May

Quieter marinas, softer heat

Everything is open and almost nothing is full. The sea is still cool for long swims, but the light is beautiful and prices are at their lowest.

IonianTurquoise CoastBay of Kotor
02 — June

Long days, warm water

Arguably the best month of the season: sailing until nine in the evening, water warm enough to stay in, and berths you can still get without a dawn start.

DalmatiaSaronicAeolian
03 — July & August

Peak Mediterranean energy

Hottest weather, busiest ports, everything happening at once. Moor early, plan the popular harbours ahead, and expect the Meltemi in the Aegean.

KornatiBalearicsCyclades
04 — September & October

Warm sea, slower rhythm

The water is at its warmest after a whole summer of sun, the crowds have gone home and the towns feel like they belong to the people who live there again.

First time on a sailing holiday?

Start with calmer waters, shorter passages and routes with plenty of time ashore. You do not need any experience — the skipper sails the boat, and you do as much or as little as you like.

  • One to three hours of sailing a day, with a swim stop in between.
  • Sheltered water, so nobody spends the week feeling seasick.
  • A town or a taverna every evening — you are never far from shore.

Berths & cabins

Travelling without a full crew?

Many Malaka departures can be booked by berth or by cabin, so you do not need to organise a whole yacht — or find seven other people first.

  • Solo travellers, couples and pairs of friends join existing departures.
  • Every skipper is verified, and every crew list is visible before you pay.
