Post a skipper request
Tell us about the trip.
Add the practical details your skipper needs — where you’re sailing, when you’re going, what yacht you’re using and what kind of crew will be on board.
You can review everything before submitting.
Writing a good request
Enough detail to make a useful offer.
A skipper reads your request the way a pilot reads a flight plan — dates, boat, distance, people. When those are clear, the offer you get back is realistic instead of provisional.
DatesFixed or flexible, and how much either way.
YachtType, size and model if you have it.
Sailing areaRegion and the marina you leave from.
Crew sizeHow many people sleep on board.
Route ideaEven a rough direction helps with planning.
ExperienceWhat the crew can and can’t do yet.
LanguageWhat everyone is comfortable sailing in.
ExpectationsRelaxed week, active passage, learning trip.
What not to share yet.
Please leave out passport numbers, ID scans, payment details, private addresses and medical information. If any of it is ever needed, it happens in secure post-booking steps — not on a request skippers can read.

That is roughly the level of detail skippers find easiest to price. Yours doesn’t need to be longer — just as specific.
